Maher Kharma is an occupational therapist and is a certified ergonomic assessment specialist (CEAS), an Author, educator and a clinician. He has consulted the Federal government as well as for private corporations. For over 20 years, he has treated individuals with musculoskeletal injuries. A graduate with masters and doctoral degrees in occupational therapy, he has practiced in various types of healthcare settings in areas of Neurological, Orthopedic, and Geriatric rehabilitation. He has lectured locally and internationally, serves as an adjunct professor at several universities, functions as a mentor for graduate students, and has participated and organized several healthcare conferences/events. He has published and presented on various healthcare –related topics.

As an entrepreneur, he currently serves as a consultant in area of “aging in place”. In this capacity, his company provides a full service line of accessibility-based home safety assessments, design, modifications and equipment for sake of creating a customized, friendlier, accessible and safer home environment that meets the individual’s needs, goals, abilities and limitations. His approach is based on our knowledge, certifications and training in fields of American Disability Act (ADA), Universal design principals, aging in place, and on years of providing direct clinical care for individuals with various medical conditions including strokes, brain injuries, arthritis, amputations, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, and more.
