Dr. Mayanka Gupta is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Resource Management and Design Application, Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. Her Doctoral degree focused on Quality of Life of elderly at Old Age Homes (alternate living arrangement) and Recreation Centres (day care centres) in India. She has presented several papers in international & national conferences & seminars on gerontology. Management of shared resources, Inclusive public spaces, mental health are areas of her interest. Conducted several trainings on intergenerational bonding, resume writing, theatre for change, women’s reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, sexual abuse for varied target groups.
Presently she is the Advisor to the Student Association of Lady Irwin College and Executive Committee Member of All India Womens’ Education Fund Association, NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations and Observer Status with UNFCCC and also to Lady Irwin College Alumnae Association.
An avid theatre enthusiast, has been actively involved in theatre and conducted international workshops for the same. Has been a participant of two exchange programs related to community living and HIV/AIDS to America and Canada respectively.
She is passionate and devoted to the cause of ageing and loves to have a two way perspective exchange interaction with the elderly on gerontology.
