Why Caregivers Need Training

Family members and frontline caregivers are the foundation of the healthcare system. Without family members and frontline caregivers, the nation’s caregiving centers, nursing homes, and hospitals would not be able to meet the needs of their clients. Research suggests that caregivers play a crucial role in improving quality of life and mitigating complications for older adults.

Although caregivers assist seniors, they often lack the skills needed to provide much need care and support safely, confidently, and effectively. In fact, the lack of training can lead to complications. Because society expects caregivers to provide optimal care to seniors, their need for proper training and support has never been greater.

In this webinar you will learn about what caregivers say about training, the most effective types of training, and how you can advocate for increased access to training in your community.
