Chad Moir

Since his mother passed away from complications due to Parkinson’s Disease in 2011, Chad has made it his life mission to help people with Parkinson’s Disease lead healthy and fulfilling lives. Chad, is the founder of DopaFit, Inc., a one of a kind movement center for people living with Parkinson’s in Western and Central Massachusetts. Dopafit, offers group exercise classes, yoga, chorus, drumming, Smile Through Art Workshops, tai chi, and dance for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Chad, is Rock Steady Boxing certified, Delay the Disease certified, and PD SELF certified. He is a board member for the American Parkinson’s Disease Association Massachusetts chapter and a public policy advocate on both the state and federal level. Chad has worked with the Michael J. Fox foundation to help raise awareness on Capitol Hill about the problems people living with Parkinson’s disease face on a daily basis. Currently, Chad is working on legislation in Massachusetts that will allow firefighters and first responders who are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease receive early retirement and a full pension. Chad works hard every day to make sure that people are living well with their Parkinson’s disease.
